Quantcast, a leader in digital marketing and brand engagement, needed someone to design a new, 95,000 square-foot, three-floor headquarters in the city’s tech-focused South of Market neighborhood with the goal of better reflecting the company’s dynamic image and fluid work culture. In the reception area, a custom glass media wall features digital video content to welcome visitors, while a minimalist palette of materials and colors - primarily grey and white, contrasts the warmer tones of a milled, washed-wood reception desk. This tonal juxtaposition is repeated further throughout the office space.The open floor plan is optimized for flexibility and efficiency, allowing employees and teams to change locations freely. A variety of work settings support a balance of collaboration and focused work. Freestanding white boards physically delineate neighborhoods, while also improving transparency between teams. Daylit breakout areas are distributed in proximity to open work areas and offer heads-down space for quick meetings. Larger collaboration areas are located adjacent to the elevator lobby to prevent team members from other floors having to travel far distances.
